Captain's Circle Reception on the Emerald Princess

A look at the passengers waiting to enter the Captain's Circle reception on the second formal night of a 10 day southern caribbean cruise, Nov. 6, 2010. It's interesting to see the passengers dressed in tuxedos and gowns for the evening, and their reaction to my video. The event is open to any previous Princess passenger, but is listed as "Formal Dress" on the invitations. The captain greets each passenger as they enter the largest lounge on the ship. There were 1700 repeat passengers on this sailing (about 55% of the total), and the 45 min. event is held three times between 5-8pm, also honouring the "longest cruisers." At the 7:30 reception, one senior couple that was introduced had about 1300 sea days on Princess. That's like spending four years on the ships!
