1977 Mercedes-Benz 230 stromberg 175 cd stall issues

Hei, I am having overfuelling and idle issues with my stromberg 175 cd. Prior to having to replace some parts to make it work, i was able to take the idle adjuster out modify it and replace it without it stalling. What have i done to cause this? I have replaced a few gaskets and parts that were rotted, seized, and just not in good shape. Can someone give me some pointers on how it should go back together and what adjustments need to be made?
