540k Mercedes Starting Up

Description

This is a 1937 540k Mercedes Benz Cabriolet C. The supercharger whines on startup until the oil cools enough to release the clutch. I would have followed it outside but my camera batteries died. Note the similarities with the 500k Cabriolet C in my other video. The styling is slightly different but the mechanics are very close. The 540k had more horsepower but also more weight so performance was just about the same.
