Onboard Elise Trophy Croft (Race1, Part1) + Telemetry
Description
This is an early test of the VIDEO4 system from Race Technology. The race is race 1 from the Elise Trophy at Croft Circuit. Car is a standard Elise Sport 160, well down on power compared to the front runners in the Class but used to demonstrate what can be done with a standard car and a quick driver. Driver is me, Malcolm Edeson, Senior Instructor with Lotus-on-Track and The Racing School and Professional Driver Coach (www.driver-coaching.com). This is the start from the grid and for the first 8 minutes of the race. The car had been spewing out all earlier and had only done 3 laps of quali. Qualified 4th but made a mess of the start, didn't have a working rev-counter and never started the car before so probably to be expected, plus a short trip through the gravel didn't help. By the end of this 8 minutes I had passed all those who had passed me earlier and was in 3rd chasing 2nd place driver Steve Wiliiams who was well out of sight at this time. Problems with poor audio meant I had to spice it up a bit with some great music from Circa Survive.
