1963 Lincoln Continental Town Brougham

Description

Designed by Ford Motor Company stylists in 1961, this stately Lincoln Continental was originally intended for the use of the White House. While these plans changed, the car remained dormant until 1963, when it was converted into a factory-built concept car for Fords Caravan of Stars traveling custom car show. Its many unique features include an extended wheelbase, a division window, and an open chauffeurs compartment, quite reminiscent of the elegant prewar town cars. Today, this luxurious low-mileage Town Brougham concept car is beautifully presented with a cosmetic restoration that includes a new exterior paint finish, restored brightwork, and a thoroughly detailed engine compartment. RM Auctions is pleased to present this car, along with hundreds of others at its Collector Cars of Fort Lauderdale event to be held February 6-8 at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center in sunny Fort Lauderdale, FL.
