My Junkyard Audi S1 Coupe GT

Description

This car was saved from the crusher back in 94; it had a block from a 70's Audi 100 EFi (WC) and the origional 1.9 head with carberettor. It had the wrong front brakes on it (from a polo I think) and the subframe bushes were totally shot, but the thing was ridiculously quick. It would hit 100mph quicker than many performance cars could hit 60, but the downside was that it destroyed 2 gearboxes and got through 3 sets of driveshafts. Never did figure out why it was quick at all really; on paper it shouldn't have been much better than the 115BHP 1.9. Anyway, this is the only video I have of it now with my 80 year old gran trying to start it; she had never started a car in her life!
