2003 Hyundai Elantra GLS issue
Description
I recently had a lot of work done on this car (had the timing belt changed, mechanic screwed up and 6 valves in the engine were crushed, replaced those as well as the battery, TPS, plugs, crank position sensor, and flex pipe) and now it does this. I'm thinking its the catalytic converter that gets clogged up, because after laying on the gas for 10 minutes at a high RPM, the car idles fine, but absolutely stinks of (what I believe) is exhaust before it hits the converter. Comments are welcome. As for the condition of the car, oil is changed every 6 months and I keep the car in great shape. The last few seconds are where you can really see the hiccuping. EDIT: Turned out to be the alternator. It was only putting out 11.8 volts, so the plugs/fuel injectors would shut off randomly. After replacing, everything is good now.
