Redwood at Stout Park

Description

This Tree was cut down because power line crews had been trimming on it for years. You cant see it in this video but there are Three Phase power lines running maybe five feet away from the this tree three quarters of the way up. Limbs keep growing out and over the lines. This is bad because went one breaks, and it doesnt have to be very big, and falls on the lines it knocks the power out to alot of homes. These power lines supply a good chunk of this towns power. There were a few people upset by the whole ordeal but in the end everyone was on board and glad it happened the way it did. I'll also mention that in place of this tree and a couple of other Fir trees we had to get rid, were planted eight more trees in there place. These were power friendly trees. Power friendly means trees that only grow to a max. height of about 15 Feet. Some of these include all fruit bearing trees, Ornamentals ( Cherry, Elm, Maple's Etc.). Evergreens like Leyland Cypress, Emerald Green Arborvitae.
