G0BCX on UHF, FM Simplex Using an Icom IC2725 Dual Band FM Transceiver.
Description
QSO with Graham in St Helens North, Merseyside using UHF on a frequency of 433.450Mhz FM. Please accept my apologies for the sound quality in this video as it was a very windy day outside the car & i had the drivers window wound down, hence the wind noise. As you can see in the video i tried to compensate by turning the volume up a little. He was using a Yaesu FT-7800E Dual Band FM Transceiver, starting off at 5 watts then going upto 35 watts output. His signals to me were up to 5/5 & we were about 50 Miles apart. Thanks for the QSO Graham, I really enjoyed the chat with you & hope to work you again soon. My TX/RX was an Icom IC2725 @ 15 watts output into a Watson W-770HB 2m/70cm Dualbander. My QRA was Stanage Edge DX Spot @ 432 Meters / 1417 Feet ASL, located to the South West side of Sheffield. Latitude: 53°20'21.73"N, Longitude: 1°37'11.74"W. I hope you find this video Graham & i look forward to working you again soon. Hope you enjoy the video, Regards Dave M0AKB...
